Custom Made Seat Covers
Front Seat Covers
PLEASE NOTE: For front buckets with standard integrated side airbags only.
The front seat covers are made to suit seats with side airbags. Please make sure that the correct seat cover is used i.e. the airbag tag should be nearest the door. For the seat cover that comes with airbag tags on both sides, it is safe to use it on either driver or passenger side. Seat covers with airbag safe deploy safe features by necessity do come with special computerised stitching that are weaker than normal stitching.
This enables the safe deployment of the side air bags during collision. When you fit them on, you have to be extra gentle. Please avoid pulling them from the airbag seams, as that is the weakest point.
1. Remove the headrest. Fit the headrest cover to the shape of the headrest, fasten the strips together. Headrest covers have to be snugly fitted. It may take quite an effort to fit them. Please do not tug at the seams when you fit them. It is easier if you squeeze the headrest from side to side as you push the cover towards it.
2. Place the seat cover over the back of the seat and pull down gently, straightening the cover for a tight snug fit. Push the centre tie strips through between the seat cushions at the base of the seat back, so they can be tied on the other side.
3. Put the base cover over the base of the seat. Straighten to ensure a neat, snug fit.
4. Run the tie strips on the outside of the seat cover base behind the side cover of the seat and bring it under the seat just above the seat rail. The seat cover is held in position by the tie strips. Bring the inside strip under the seat, join the strips by looping them over each other, tightening for a snug fit. (Eg. 1 to 1)
5. Run the tie strips from the front of the seat cover back under the seat tightening them to the centre strips. This will pull the seat cover back down shaping the cover to the seat.
n.b. Push the centre ties through between the seat cushion at the base of the seat back, so they can be tied on the other side. Where there is carpet on the back of the seat restricting access through the seat, push the ties through the corner of the seat back and base.
SAFETY INFORMATION
Correct initial fitting and securing of this seat cover on the vehicle is essential to guarantee the safety of the user. Incorrect fitting can prevent the seat airbag from deploying correctly in the event of a collision. If the side seam splits for any reason it cannot be repaired. Any attempt to sew the seam may interfere with the Standard Integrated Side Airbag Deployment. Discard the seat cover after side airbag activation. Airbag deployment must never be compromised by the incorrect fitting of car set covers.
AIRBAG WARNING: These seat covers must only be used for cars that have Standard Integrated Side Airbags. If you are unsure check with the vehicle manufacturer. The Airbag deploys from the centre of the side of the seat closest to the car door. (Please note the “Airbag Deployment Zone” in the illustration). The seam is and must remain located in the area from forward edge (A) to the outside rear edge (B) of the seat back. If a seat cover is moved from its intended placement for any reason, it must be placed back in its correct position before use. See the illustration and fitting instructions. Under no circumstances should the sides of the seat covers be tampered with. Incorrect fitting can prevent the seat airbag from inflating correctly.
